Esra Liya Özsoy Baran

She completed her undergraduate studies in Social Work and Psychology at Üsküdar University and her master’s degree in Social Policy and Social Work at Istanbul University. She is currently pursuing her doctoral studies in the Social Work PhD Program at Yalova University. She has volunteered with various NGOs, working with refugee and Roma communities. Following the February 6, 2023 Kahramanmaraş Earthquake, she actively engaged in the disaster zone for two years, focusing on trauma-oriented psychosocial support and women’s empowerment. Academically, her research interests concentrate on women’s studies, social policy, and civil society.
